The faces of those children turned pale. Being treated as horses by Mireille, especially such an arrogant girl, was the last thing they wanted. Yet, they dared not defy Mireille Yowell's words and could only reluctantly lower themselves to the ground, hands and knees, ready to be ridden like horses.
Mireille Yowell loved seeing this. Children bigger than her having to comply with her commands, easy for her to direct.
But there were two exceptions among these children: Clarence Xenos and his sister.
Clarence had only ever acted as a horse for his sister, and that was by his own volition, to make her happy; he wouldn't do it for another girl.
Therefore, even though the opera performance on stage intrigued him, he still refused to comply.
"You all get down on the ground quickly!" Mireille demanded unhappily, displeased that someone dared defy her words.
"We're not watching anymore," Clarence said, holding his sister's hand as he planned to leave.
