Mr. May felt a jolt in his heart. Earlier at the funeral, the sudden appearance of Kyle Kinston and Mabel Quinn had stirred a vague sense of unease within him.
The Kinston Family, the Quinn Family, and the Landon Family had never had much interaction. For someone of Kyle Kinston's stature to suddenly attend Old Master Landon's funeral, using the excuse of "having heard much about him," seemed nothing more than a pretext to Mr. May.
