Mireille Yowell trembled and dared not look into the eyes of the person opposite her. It was an almost instinctive feeling that made her think this uncle was terrifying, even if he was smiling, he still seemed frightening.
"Good girl." Mrs. Landon embraced Mireille Yowell and said, "Grandma won't let you and mommy be kicked out. Both you and mommy have to stay well with Grandma."
Mireille Yowell nodded her little head in Mrs. Landon's arms, but dared not point fingers or accuse Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston anymore.
Mrs. Landon then straightened up and hurriedly asked the police, "Where's my daughter? I want to see my daughter, I want to take her back."
"Who is your daughter?" the policeman asked.
"It's Isabella Yowell." Isabella's parents quickly said, "You claim she stole that jewelry, but it's actually this lady's. She can prove those are not stolen; she gave them to Isabella Yowell, right, Mrs. Landon?" Isabella's mother said while frantically signaling to Mrs. Landon.
