"Mom, now that Grandpa is not around, you can discuss things with me, can't you?" Grace Yowell said warmly.
Madam Lew gazed steadily at the person in front of her. This was the daughter she had always believed in. She had never doubted it before, no matter what others said. In her eyes, Isabella was her daughter.
So, no matter what Isabella did, she could forgive her. However, the dream she had that night left her feeling confused. When she woke up, the vividness of the dream lingered in her mind, allowing her to see things she might not have seen before, causing her to doubt.
After a moment of contemplation, Madam Lew asked, "Isabella, are you truly my daughter?"
Grace Yowell was suddenly startled, her complexion changed dramatically as she said, "Mom, how can you say that? Of course, I'm your daughter! The daughter you carried for ten months and gave birth to! Aren't you the one who was more certain than anyone that I am your daughter?"
