Having decided to act, Jin'er is not someone who gets overly anxious; she's even a bit eager.
The men in the Hua family all know how to care for their wives. If it weren't for the busy farming period with so much work to do, worrying about the ripe crops being eaten by birds or insects, her mother and grandmother wouldn't usually be working in the fields. Naturally, if someone is at home, Jin'er wouldn't even have the opportunity to show what she can do. Now is her time to shine.
As for whether she can do it... having grown up independently and turned herself into a capable woman, how could she not know how to cook?
In fact, her cooking isn't bad. It's certainly not at a chef's level, but it's far from being inedible.
She just hasn't used the earthen stove before, and though it looks quite simple when her mother and grandmother use it, she's unsure if she'd get used to it.
Without thinking too much, Jin'er got started.
