Run away...with the ball?
Zhuang Shuqing read those words over and over. She recognized every single word, but once parsed, their meaning eluded her.
A large hand wrapped around her waist from behind, pulling her back to bed. Zhuang Shuqing snapped out of her shock and looked towards Lu Jinyang, "Um, Qin Huaixin has run off."
"So? She's run off, let's sleep some more; it's still early."
She silently checked the time, and sure enough, it was early, just 6 AM. According to Lu Jinyang's usual routine, there was still half an hour before he would get up.
But now, she couldn't settle down to sleep.
So, she shook him again, "Shouldn't we tell Leng Yixing about this?"
"Never mind him. It's his wife, his responsibility to chase after her."
In Lu Jinyang's eyes, a man who needed someone else to chase after his own wife wasn't capable of keeping her, even if she was brought back to him.
Zhuang Shuqing: "..."
Seeing Lu Jinyang so calm and collected, she too began to relax.
