Xiao Qing's words were interrupted as her phone was suddenly snatched away. She watched, wide-eyed, as the man a head taller than her pressed her phone to his ear.
"My wife is doing well, thank you for your concern."
On the other side of the call, Yang Zi heard a strange voice; before he could react, the call was disconnected.
Yang Zi stared at the disconnected call in disbelief, then he quickly dialed another number.
As soon as the call connected, Yang Zi spoke: "Why didn't you tell me Xiao Qing and Lu Jinyang are back together again?"
A lazy voice came through, it was Yang Qiao's voice.
She said, "I'm overseas, you're here, yet you still ask me about such a trivial matter?"
Yang Zi was at a loss for words.
"Was she saved by Lu Jinyang?"
"Yeah, when I called just now, Lu Jinyang answered, and from the sound of Xiao Qing's voice, she doesn't seem to be majorly impacted."
