After a dozen hours of flying, Song Yansheng and Shi Nuan arrived at New York's international airport.
Once they got off the plane, a car was already waiting there.
Originally, after arriving in America, the two of them would head directly to the accommodation Chi Rui arranged for them to rest.
But now, that was clearly not an option.
Over a dozen hours ago, Chi Rui called Song Yansheng to tell him that Shi Nuan's grandmother and Younger Aunt Xu Jing had been found.
However, Xu Jing proposed going to America immediately because Shi Nuan's grandmother was now critically ill and needed urgent surgery at an American hospital.
Song Yansheng and Shi Nuan boarded the plane as scheduled, but due to worrying about Old Mrs. Xu's condition, this dozen-hour journey was pure torment for Shi Nuan.
Song Yansheng wanted Shi Nuan to sleep more, hoping that once she awoke, they would have arrived.
But Shi Nuan clearly couldn't fall asleep; just as she persisted, so did Song Yansheng.
