Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Just Because He Is Hunter Warren's Archenemy, Oliver Turner

"Ha, alright, I do feel a bit cold myself."

She pushed him out of the hotel entrance.

"Don't come back to check on me, I really am okay."

"Alright, alright, I'm leaving. I'll come find you tomorrow morning."

"Okay."

She smiled and watched Henry Sullivan leave before turning back into the hotel and heading upstairs.

The elevator opened, revealing a man with a handsome face and rugged features.

The man's model-like physique and distinctively handsome face were not unfamiliar to Faye Townsend.

She often kept an eye on his news, simply because he was Hunter Warren's archrival, Oliver Turner.

As she entered the elevator, they merely exchanged a glance.

Seeing the 16th-floor indicator lit up, she leaned her head lightly against the elevator and closed her eyes with a pained expression.

She was in front, and he was behind.

The elevator was silent, with only the two of them inside.

When the 16th floor arrived, she didn't move.

From behind, Oliver Turner's magnetic voice sounded, "Miss Townsend, we've reached the 16th floor."

Faye Townsend opened her eyes, glanced at him, and as the elevator door slowly opened, she stepped out and walked to the left.

From start to finish, she didn't even glance back at Oliver Turner.

Oliver Turner stepped out of the elevator and, with a mischievous smile on his lips, watched Faye's back as he turned to walk to the right.

In the room, Faye threw herself entirely onto the spacious bed.

She lay there spread-eagle, without moving.

The crazy day was finally over.

She could finally have a quiet moment alone.

In one day, she had made three major decisions.

Agreeing to divorce Hunter Warren, refusing Hunter Warren's charity, and keeping Hunter's child.

Suddenly, she felt as if she had become an iron female warrior overnight.

This would become the worst day of her life, without exception.

She smirked lightly, indeed, her life couldn't get worse than this.

If she got through today, what worse thing could possibly defeat her?

Nothing would.

The phone vibrated inside the handbag beside her, and she had no desire to answer it.

But the person on the other end seemed determined that if she didn't pick up, they would keep harassing her.

She struggled to sit up and walked to the table, unzipped the bag, and took out her phone.

Seeing the name on the caller ID.

She let out a sarcastic smile.

It turned out that even worse things were waiting in line.

She raised her hand to pick up the phone, and a woman's crying voice came from the other end.

"Faye, Faye, I'm sorry, I know you don't want to hear my voice.

But please, don't hang up on me.

I'm sorry, I really don't know how to atone to you.

Faye, you have to believe me, I never wanted to take Hunter from you.

I didn't make him divorce you.

I just wanted to be quietly by his side, I swear.

I don't want to be the one to ruin your marriage.

I didn't expect him to do this.

I don't want to hurt you.

Faye, I want to see you, please let me see you once, okay?

Let me see if you're alright now, alright?

I'm worried about you, really worried.

You know, I only have you as a friend.

I don't want to lose you, really don't want to lose."

Faye clenched her fist, not wanting to hurt her, yet on the day of her divorce, they appeared so publicly, sharing intimate glances with her ex-husband, right?

How ridiculous.

"Enough, Zenia, the Townsend Family has fallen, but did you think the fallen Townsend heiress is like a dog you keep in your yard?

Not to mention you haven't married Hunter Warren yet.

Even if you've become his wife now, you don't have the right to summon me at will.
