He looked at her with a wicked charm; the brilliance at the corner of her lips lifted his spirits amidst the stressful work.
"Well said, domineering, I like it. Go, come back after having some water and we'll eat together," he said.
Jane Quinlan chuckled and turned to open the door and left.
When she came out, Wendy was fuming and throwing things around.
Seeing her, Wendy immediately looked at Jane Quinlan like a hedgehog raising all its spines.
"What are you trying to do now?" Wendy challenged.
Jane Quinlan couldn't help but laugh: "Wendy, why are you so scared of me?"
"Scared of you? Are you crazy? Why would I be scared of you?" Wendy retorted.
"If you're not scared of me, then why are you watching me so warily?" Jane Quinlan asked.
Wendy sneered: "Ignorance is truly frightening. Fear and wariness are two different things.
People feel fear because of terror, but they are wary because the other is a thief."
