Seeing that Kay Forrest was not treating her well, Evie Larkin put down her chopsticks, stood up, and looked towards Grayson Forrest.
"Old Mr. Forrest, I've finished eating. You all take your time.
I just remembered I have some things to do, so I'm going upstairs."
Grayson nodded: "Go ahead."
After she left, Grayson glanced at Kay but didn't say anything.
Jane Quinlan was quite puzzled.
It looked like Evie really suffered a lot in this family.
Of course, all these grievances were given to her by Forrest.
Forrest obviously disliked her; she had been driven away by him several times in one day.
But every time, she managed to calm down and come back.
What on earth was she aiming for?
Any clear-eyed person could see that Kay didn't like her. Why did she tirelessly keep trying?
Was it to show Kay her obedience or her pitifulness?
If Kay really wanted to pity her, how could he possibly hurt her time and again?
