Henry Sullivan took a step back from his mother and walked over to Ivy Miller, naturally wrapping his arm around her shoulders.
Henry's mom gave Ivy a cold look, and Ivy giggled, "Mom, we're back. Here's some supplements we bought for you and Dad."
She obediently handed over a few gift boxes.
Henry's mom glanced at one of the housemaids, who hurriedly went to take the gift boxes.
Henry pulled her into the living room, where Henry's dad was sitting properly on the sofa.
Ivy approached and greeted him, "Dad, I'm here to see you."
Henry's dad nodded and smiled at Ivy, "Ivy's here, huh."
"Yes, has your health been good lately?"
"I'm quite well, don't worry. Come, sit down and have a cup of tea."
Henry's face was tense, "Dad."
"Let's sit together."
Ivy genuinely felt that Henry seemed like an outsider in this family.
Henry's dad wasn't the least bit warm toward her, while Henry's mom busied herself serving him tea with a flattering smile.
