The phone ringing startled Henry Sullivan awake. He reached for his phone, thinking it might be an important call from the military, but saw Ivy Miller's number instead.
He frowned while glancing at the time, it was 11:40.
He quickly picked up the call; she wouldn't call him this late unless something was wrong.
As soon as the call connected, he heard her crying: "Uncle, Uncle, I'm scared."
"What's wrong?" Henry's fingers gripped the phone tightly.
"I'm really scared, Uncle, I was working overtime in the office and accidentally fell asleep. I woke up and found the lights wouldn't turn on, and I can't open the door.
It's so dark outside, the corridor is so long, and I'm too scared to go out alone.
Uncle, I'm scared, can you talk to me?"
Henry frowned deeply: "Don't be afraid, I'll call someone to go up and bring you down."
"Uncle, don't hang up, I'm scared."
"Okay, okay, I won't hang up, just listen to my voice."
