Delphine took medicine for two days and her fever subsided, just when she received a call from her agent.
Kyla Zamora, who had finally managed to reach her, nearly jumped up in both relief and worry, exclaiming, "Finally, I got in touch with you! Your phone wasn't working at all, and I asked Maximilian, but he wouldn't say anything. I was so worried I could've died from the anxiety!"
Kyla had staked her entire career on Delphine. Seeing her vanish for several days, and with Maximilian's cryptic refusal to provide answers, she was as frantic as a spinning top.
"The phone was out of battery earlier. Sister Kyla, I might need to take a long break. I can't take on any more roles or appearances right now," Delphine said hoarsely.
The whip marks on her back needed time to fade, during which she wouldn't be able to do anything at all.
