Delphine was somewhat surprised upon hearing this. It had only been one night, how could the child suddenly be gone? It seemed that the child really wasn't Jocelyn Yeager's.
"What will happen to them now?" Delphine asked softly.
"There are plenty of loveless couples in this world, not every marriage is founded on deep affection," Ignatius Leclair said indifferently, curling his lips into a slight smirk. "It all depends on whether Bessie Leclair wants to continue this marriage, or if she wants to leave."
As for Jocelyn Yeager's wishes—they were never part of his consideration.
Delphine furrowed her brows, her voice turning slightly cold. "You Leclair Family people really do have an air of tyranny deep in your bones."
Ignatius Leclair heard her words, his phoenix eyes darkening. He wanted to say that he was only domineering toward the ones he loved, but the words he spoke instead were, "Get some more rest; the sun hasn't come up yet."
