The man kissed her with restraint, perhaps afraid of upsetting her. It was almost a fleeting touch, and he quickly released her, his deep voice asking, "What kind of dream made you so happy, hmm?"
"It's nothing." Delphine's expression was calm and indifferent. She didn't plan on telling him that she might be pregnant with twins. This man didn't seem particularly concerned about the children but increasingly tightened his control over her.
