Chloe Grant suddenly got up, but Matthew Morgan had already shut the door.
At the doorway.
Matthew's movement paused for a moment; did he hear something?
The next second, Matthew chuckled and shook his head.
He figured he was just imagining things.
Without much thought, Matthew left directly.
Inside the room.
Chloe was a bit dejected, lowering her head.
She wouldn't wear a wig when she sleeps. Her hair, shaved for surgery, was growing fast.
Chloe scratched her hair and let out a deep sigh.
Finally, she lay back on the bed, "Forget it, I'll have to find him tomorrow anyway."
After muttering, Chloe laughed to herself, "I'm really such a coward."
It was her first time feeling this nervous and flustered...
Chloe took another deep breath, composed her emotions, and then picked up her phone to reply to Zoe Graham.
The message she returned was quite long, basically explaining what happened at the school gate to Zoe.
