After An Yin and Shi Qing came out of the hospital, they walked along the roadside towards the bus stop.
Both of them had heavy hearts, their eyes vacant as they looked down at the road beneath their feet.
As the honking on the roadside rang, An Yin was brought back to reality, she bashfully glanced at the person beside her, "Shi Qing, thank you for today."
"Hmm." Shi Qing responded with a sound.
Just then, An Yin's phone vibrated. She took her phone out of her pocket, and upon seeing the name she had saved it under, she quickly answered, "Hello!"
After speaking, she remembered something very important—she hadn't masked her voice while speaking! Would the other person suspect her? As An Yin was overwhelmed with thoughts, there was a pause on the other end before the voice spoke.
"What's wrong? Got a cold?" The man's voice on the other end was steady, with a hint of concern in his words.
