Dong Xin Yan took the medical kit from the cabinet, walked back to the sofa, and sat next to Gu Ningyi. She placed the kit on her lap, opened it, took out the medicine, and soaked a cotton ball in it. Then she turned to him.
"It might hurt a bit; bear with it," Dong Xin Yan said softly.
Gu Ningyi curled his lips, casually placing the document on the table, then he lowered his head slightly, revealing the injured forehead to Dong Xin Yan.
Looking at it from this close, the wound was not minor; a small piece of skin had been lifted, bloodily mangled though not large, but surely very painful.
Yet, from earlier until now, he hadn't uttered a word.
Dong Xin Yan kept looking, her nose unable to stop the ache, "Gu Ningyi, how did you get hurt?"
Gu Ningyi hadn't expected Dong Xin Yan to persist with this question. Not wanting her to worry, he casually made up a reason, "Accidentally bumped into something, it's nothing serious, no need to worry."
