Yi Luowa and Tong Airui exchanged a smile, holding hands as they went up to the second floor.
Tong Airui immediately pulled the curtains closed. Yi Luowa pouted, "What are you up to? So scared of me seeing something?"
"Nothing much, you'll see in a while." Tong Airui pointed at the gift box on the coffee table. "Aren't you going to open it? Mom left a present for you before she went out."
Yi Luowa knew he was changing the subject and gave him a sly smile. "Mom treats me so well; she even remembered my birthday."
"You're her daughter-in-law; of course, she treats you well." Tong Airui folded his arms and glanced at the bed covered with roses, looking conflicted. "I spent the whole afternoon setting that up. It'd be a pity to ruin it, but if we don't, we won't have anywhere to sleep tonight."
"We can sleep in the guest room." Yi Luowa placed her hands on the edge of the bed and looked at the flowers regretfully.
