Quickly leaping over a thicket, Kuboert finally discovered the local residents of the Elf Kingdom. Three elves were being hunted by more than twenty ghouls, trapped in a small clearing.
Although the three elves were quite agile, there were no trees here for them to climb. If they tried to leap outward with effort, they would only fall into a tighter encirclement by the enemy. Without the advantage of distance, the ghouls could launch attacks more leisurely. Their black long claws tore at the elves' leather armor several times. If these creatures tore open a wound, a foul power would follow the ghoul's filthy claws into the prey's body, quickly weakening them. Meanwhile, the thin sword in the elves' hands clearly had little effect on this group of undead. The bluish-green, blister-filled skin seemed coated with a layer of glue, difficult to pierce. Even if they left wounds on these undead, they had to be wary of the liquids splashing from them, which also had the power to weaken.
