"If you can't see, just imagine some beautiful scenes in your mind, then you won't be afraid." she earnestly said.
"But you can't see anything, where do those beautiful scenes in your mind come from?" Xiaoze simply squatted down, meeting her gaze.
From this angle, the little girl looked like a perfect porcelain doll, and he was momentarily entranced.
"I used to be able to see, it's all remembered in my mind." She smiled, pointing to her head.
So she wasn't born blind.
But having once been able to see, and then losing it, isn't it more maddening? He wanted to ask but seeing her happy expression, he suddenly couldn't bring himself to.
"Brother, you can go play, don't worry about me." Her voice was soft, "I'll sit here for a while and then go home. My home is very nearby."
She seemed to be dismissing him, this little girl seemed to find him bothersome!
Xiaoze was a bit upset, but seeing her unfocused eyes, he felt it was unchivalrous to argue with her.
