As soon as she asked the question, Lily Turner felt it was too inappropriate. Before Easton Holmes could speak, she hurriedly defended herself: "I'm not forcing you to see me, I mean you..."
"What do you mean?"
Easton suddenly stepped forward, directly approaching Lily. Unprepared, she was startled and instinctively stepped back.
"I mean it would be best if you can take some time to handle the paperwork for the house as soon as possible."
Because of the sudden situation, Lily did not dwell on whether the man was angry and directly said what she meant.
Easton quietly stared at the woman standing in front of him, silent for a long time. Just when Lily thought he wouldn't speak, he suddenly said, "You don't need to worry about the house. They won't find anything."
"Huh?"
Lily was bewildered. She understood Easton's words but didn't understand why he was so confident. Was he boasting? Or was he trying to fool her with big talk?
