Lily Turner bypassed Evelyn Taylor, who was blocking her way, and strode out of the living room. She had just taken two steps when Evelyn's words fiercely hit her from behind.
"Lily Turner! Are you afraid that Easton will take my side? I'm telling you! Sooner or later, Easton will see what kind of person you really are, and you'll be kicked out of this house by him." Evelyn spewed out a bunch of words in one breath, all to provoke Lily and force her to play this seemingly childish game.
Hearing this, Lily instinctively paused, knowing full well that Evelyn was intentionally provoking and baiting her, yet she still turned around to look at Evelyn.
"My husband knows perfectly well who I am; you're overthinking it if you think he'll kick me out," she said. Her affairs were all over the internet, impossible to hide. She didn't know how much he was aware of, but she was certain he wasn't completely in the dark.
