Lily Turner wanted to know exactly what Easton Holmes was trying to figure out, but he was trying to understand more than just that. He could tell from the phone call earlier that Thomas Fisher was particularly anxious about Alice Turner, an unprecedented kind of anxiety.
They hadn't known each other for long, yet they had already become so familiar with each other that they could even drink together and visit each other's places.
These thoughts stayed in his mind; he didn't intend to say them out loud. He didn't want to make her overthink or worry about anything.
"It's just a drink, no need for so many questions." Easton Holmes held Lily Turner's hand in reverse, leaned over, and sat down beside her. He held her with both hands and laid her down. "The only thing you need to do now is rest; don't worry about other things."
After laying her down, his hands did not release her, preventing her from sitting back up.
