Although Lily Turner was whispering to Easton Holmes, Callix Linton and Michael Linton, who were walking ahead, still heard them. Both men reacted, but their responses were quite different.
"Girl! You stayed in the hospital for one day, and you've picked up bad habits." Callix stopped, turned to look at the two following behind, "Easton! It's your responsibility!"
After saying that, he gave the couple a look each and continued heading towards the living room.
Michael was much calmer than Callix; he just glanced back at Lily once before helping his elderly father into the living room.

Lily wanted to retort, but because Michael was present, she swallowed her words.
