Bang bang bang!
The sudden knocking interrupted Sophia Wood and Lily Turner's chat. Lily immediately thought that Easton Holmes had come to call her home, and she got up and walked towards the door.
Sure enough, when she opened the door, she saw his figure.
"It's already late; we should go home now." As Easton finished speaking, he saw Lily cover her mouth and start laughing. Her sudden giggle left him puzzled, "Why are you laughing? Was what I said really that funny?"
What he'd just said wasn't a joke, yet it made her laugh like that—something was up, definitely something.
"Not just funny, but absolutely hilarious."
Lily instinctively wrapped her arm around Easton's and turned to look at Sophia, who had followed, "Mom! We're going to head out now; I'll come to see you another day."
She really wanted to stay tonight, but considering how far it was from his military base, she decisively gave up on the idea.
