Hearing Easton Holmes' stiff voice, Valentina's hand instinctively froze in mid-air. It took her a long time to come to her senses. She lowered her hand that had been stuck in the air and looked incredulously at him standing on the other side of the car.
Easton Holmes didn't even glance at her and got into the car before she could speak. "I don't want to say it a second time."
After getting in the car, he forcefully slammed the door and started the engine as soon as he settled into his seat.
To Valentina, Easton Holmes seemed like a stranger now. Although he hadn't been overly enthusiastic with her in the past, he hadn't been this cold either. His demeanor was several times colder than before.
