Thomas Fisher held onto Evelyn Taylor's arm all the way until they walked out of the courtyard gate, only then did he completely let go of her arm.
"The air outside is nice, isn't it?"
After stopping, he turned to look at her and made a remark just to fill the silence.
"It's all the same."

He had been smiling since earlier, trying to cheer her up and lift her spirits.
