Lily Turner didn't find Easton Holmes downstairs, nor did she see any sign of him in the yard. As she was about to go upstairs to look for him, Callix Linton walked out of his room.
Seeing her come in from outside, he raised his eyebrows in confusion, "Girl! You went out?"
As he asked, he instinctively glanced behind her. There was only her; he didn't see his grandson.
"I was feeling suffocated inside, so I went out to get some air," Lily Turner casually made up an excuse. After saying it, she felt quite pleased with herself for being able to lie so smoothly.
Callix Linton looked up in the direction of the second floor, his suspicion growing stronger, "Where's Easton? Didn't he go out with you to get some air?"
This wasn't his grandson's usual style with his granddaughter-in-law. His grandson was always clingy with her; what happened today? How could he let his wife go out alone to get some air?
Not normal! This situation is absolutely not normal!
