Isla Lane really wanted to chat with Alice Turner about something, but with Thomas Fisher and Anthony there, she couldn't talk about anything too private and just exchanged a few polite words.
Alice Turner hadn't planned to stay long before coming, and if Thomas Fisher and Anthony weren't there, she would have left even earlier.
It didn't take long before the three of them left together.
Isla Lane really wanted to keep Alice Turner alone, but she was worried that doing so would upset Benjamin Shaw, so she held back and didn't do it, just escorting the three out of the hospital room before returning.
"Son! I think now is the most suitable time to confess to Alice." Isla Lane walked to the bedside, standing above Benjamin Shaw, her face filled with urgency.
Benjamin Shaw glanced up at Isla Lane, quickly averting his gaze elsewhere, but he didn't ignore his mom's question, "Alice and I are impossible in this lifetime."
