When Jingxi woke up again, he had already come home from school, absentmindedly accompanied him to finish his homework, had dinner, gave the little guy a bath, and only then returned to his room. After taking a shower, he snuggled up in bed, staring unblinkingly at the phone on the bedside table.
Because he had taken a nap in the afternoon, he didn't feel sleepy, and it wasn't until past one in the morning that he finally fell asleep.
The sleep was light, and he woke up just before eight, threw back the covers to get out of bed, washed his face and brushed his teeth, then opened the door and left the room. Coming to the first floor and not seeing the little guy around, he asked, "Tong Ma, hasn't Jingxi gotten up yet?"
Hearing this, Tong Ma paused her steps towards the kitchen, glanced at the clock on the nearby wall, and replied, "Not yet."
Usually, he would be up by now, but it's almost eight and still no sign of him coming down...
