Mo Chuxi's steps suddenly halted.
"Did you go through with the DNA test?"
"Yes."
Yan Xinxin nodded with a smile, her gaze complex as she looked at Mo Chuxi, but she quickly lowered her eyes and shifted her focus away.
"As it turns out, I was overthinking things. I'm not…"
"You're not? Not what?"
Mo Chuxi questioned her with confusion.
"Hah—"
Yan Xinxin let out a long sigh, her gaze drifting to the sea of hydrangeas blooming under the twilight.
"Mo Chuxi, is it because Mu Qianyuan loved hydrangeas that you planted so many of them?"
She asked calmly, but saw Mo Chuxi's brow furrow deeply.
"I saw plenty of hydrangeas at the Mu family estate too, and it seems like everyone in the Mu family, except for Mu Qianshui, is still very much longing for Mu Qianyuan. So, I was guessing… Mu Qianyuan loved hydrangeas. Am I right?"
Listening to Yan Xinxin's analysis, Mo Chuxi hesitated for a moment before gently nodding.
"Yes, she loved them very much."
