Wild beasts?!
Lai Si shot up from his chair.
They rushed outside.
They saw a round-faced man running towards them, his face full of terror.
Behind him were three brown bears!
Lai Si shouted urgently, "Not good! Hold the girl and run!"
The pockmarked man snapped out of his shock, scooped up Zhi'er, and dashed out.
However, Zhi'er saw Lai Si tell them to run but turned back into the house himself.
The little one asked softly, "Isn't that uncle coming with us?"
The pockmarked man looked back, calling urgently, "Big brother! Hurry!"
"You go! I need to carry the fourth one, he hasn't woken up yet. If left behind, he becomes bear food!"
Hearing this, the pockmarked man couldn't care much; he grabbed Zhi'er and bolted forward.
He hadn't run far before, weak from hunger and a recent stomachache, he nearly lost stride and fell.
The pockmarked man quickly put Zhi'er down.
"Little girl, you run! Follow this path, run as far as you can! Don't look back!"
