Chu Xi was already afraid of heights. Although standing on the ladder wasn't that far from the ground, she inexplicably felt panicked.
After picking a peach, she quickly pulled her hand back. As she lowered her head, she noticed Shen Yi was looking up at her.
"Not bad. You've earned a like." Shen Yi casually threw out this comment, then pulled his baseball cap lower to cover his face.
Chu Xi's eyes lit up instantly—Shen Yi praised her!
"Mr. Shen Yi, you can rest easy. From now on, leave everything to me!" Chu Xi was suddenly full of energy.
She completely tossed her fear of heights out the window. Stepping quickly down the ladder, she grabbed the bamboo basket next to her, then darted back up the ladder. With the basket hooked on her left arm and her right hand busy picking peaches, she moved with determination.
