It isn't as if Shad Darc was incapable of fighting at the first place it was just that through the instinct hone over the years serving as one of the special oops in the shadow department Shad Darc has been through many fights in his life time both with humans and beast alike.
Considering that his world has far advance in tech and science. They are now capable of creating a serum that gives humans super strength effectively turning them into superhuman, the serum enhances overall physical capabilities and helps remove the limit of human physical prowess to some certain extent.
He has fought and won against such people he has even fought a couple of bears and some other wild animals and has live to tell the tale.
And what does that mean, it means that Shad Darc is no weakling but as an experience fighter and hunter he knows when something or someone is beyond his reach that is why ran away when he first saw the bearlike creature.
It isn't just the normal type of fear one feels when scared but a type of instinct predators have when they meet a bigger and far more dangerous predators and so that is why he ran.
But now things are a little bit different he now stand a chance against such creature even if it is just fifty percent it is still more than enough this is not his first time fighting a wild animal nor would today be his last.
Just a single day inside the strange forest and Shad Darc has grown more powerful than he ever was he can't totally believe himself but he must accept it.
"Why am I having such thoughts?"
"I better keep my wandering mind in check"
"How do I come down without the giving the bearlike creature a chance to kill me immediately?"
He asked himself expecting and answer from his spilt identities but there was no respond.
Since there was no respond and because there was no respond he instantly knew what that means.
It means he has to forcefully get down to the creature without him dying which seems kind off impossible.
But to someone like Shad Darc nothing is truly impossible if giving the chance to explore variables of the impossibility itself.
Before he decided on what to do next he looked around at the tree which has shelter him up till now.
He hasn't truly take a good look at the huge tree except for a minor details like the tree color.
"Now that I look at it does seems to appear much smaller before I climb it but at the same time big enough to give me shelter to the point that even one of its branches is wide enough for him to lay upon, strange"
Shad Darc find this to be abnormal more like there is a hidden se he is not yet aware of never the less he thank the tree for its shelter.
With that he brought his distracted mind once more to the task ahead.
He then began to go down from the tree at about 15 meters away from the bearlike creature he decided to do something really stupid.
He immediately jump towards the bearlike creature as if to offer himself as a sacrifice.
Instantly he throw his short dagger which is now saturated with the flow of energy aiming it at the creature eyes.
He is not expecting it to actually pierce it eyes but he is hoping it would.
The act of throwing the short dagger at the creature's eye was merely a form of distraction to creature.
By throwing the short dagger at the creature eyes he is counting on the fact that the bearlike creature would try to shield it eyes and by doing so he would reposition himself to fall at the ground safely instead of the creature's body.
It was but a simple plan.
But to his surprise the bearlike creature didn't try to protect it eyes but just simply closed it thinking nothing would happen.
"grrrrrrgh"
The bearlike creature let out a cry that is not of the nature of a normal bear but something else entirely.
The bearlike creature paid the price of overconfidence thinking that the short dagger would not harm him was just pure stupidity after all Shad Darc has saturated his short dagger with his transparent sky blue flow of energy which is kind of hard to see .
Shad Darc then fell to the ground and rolled to shake away the impact of falling. He rolled away and stood up almost instantly turning towards the direction of the screaming creature only to be meet with an unexpected blow with hands looking like rhinos own flying straight at him.
Out of honed battle he instantly reacted by taking his both hands in a crossed form up to block the coming blow.
"Bam!"
He was slapped with an unimaginable force right to his hands protecting his chest and was sent flying for about a couple dozens of meters away.
Shad Darc briefly past out for a single moment while rolling on the ground like a bowling ball only to be stopped by a tree.
"bam!"
Shad Darc then regains consciousness and felt pain like never before he prides himself to have high pain tolerance but this this something he can never have imagine to feel physically.
He coughs out a mouthful of blood while in serious pain "this wasn't part of the plan". he said with a grmaced face.
"Damn nothing ever goes according to how I want it"
He coughs out once more feeling an unbearable pain passing through his entire body.
His hands are numb and his chest extremely hot his legs doesn't feels like his own anymore more like he no longer has any legs.
He can't quit explain the amount of force that has hit him but if would put it in plain terms it would be like luxurious bus ramming into an average young lady at a speed of 100kmph.
He himself doesn't exactly knows how he manage to survive but one thing is sure if he should survive this day then it will forever be etched into his memories.
Without any moment of rest for Shad Darc the bearlike suddenly appears before him with it right hand up trying to crush him once and for all.
But Shad Darc somehow was able to muster the remaining amount of energy within him to roll away.
"Baam"
The bearlike creature instead slam the tree with his right paw, leaving a deep cut to it but he didn,t achieve it purpose with left him it angry.
It was a narrow escape for him but the bearlike like creature didn't give Shad Darc a moment of rest or whatsoever it just relentlessly keeps attacking Shad Darc.
At this point Shad Darc is barely surviving he doesn't know if he could keep this up for long for he is barely hanging on.
But somehow he manages to survive for which is in of itself is kind of miracle.
The short dagger was still stuck inside the creature left eye which is causing it pain but it choose to ignore it choosing to relentlessly assault Shad Darc who is barely surviving.
Though Shad Darc was barely keeping up his mind was strangely clear and calm and so his focused doesn't waver.
He keeps using the remaining flow of energy in his body to keep his body from completely breaking down on him.
It is only now that he battles using the flow of energy does his control on the flow of energy deepens even more.
He was only in theory able to come up with ways of using the flow of energy but now that he is using it in an actual lfeor death battle it is not as simple as it seems but if there is one attribute Shad Darc likes about himself is his supreme adaptability.
His ability to quickly adapt and learn under pressure is one of his special trait.
With this trait of his he began to control the flow of energy within him more skillfully minimizing the amount of energy spent for maximum efficiency.
He begin to dodge the bearlike creature more boldly and faster despite the injuries to his body.
Just as when he thought he was getting a moment of respite the bearlike creature speed suddenly surge temporarilyjust for moment which caught him off-guard.
The right hand of the bearlike creature came surge forward like a cannonball towards Shad Darc head but thankfully he was able to avoid just in a nick of time barely avoiding death, by bending his upper body downward.
But that wasn't all the bearlike creature had in mind, immediately after the first attack the creature follow up with a backhand that connected with shad left side sending him flying once again.
But unlike before the blow wasn't as painful as the first one but nonetheless still painful or maybe it might also be because he now has better control on the flow of energy.
This time around there was no tree to stop his momentum and so he forced his self to stop rolling.
Just as before the bearlike creature lounge in at him once more but instead of dodging to the side he decided to dive below the bearlike creature.
"Whoosh"
It blow passes through the air entirely missing him which left it confused because it wasn't expecting this type of escape but it was only for a brief moment which gave Shad Darc time to act.
Diving under the body of the creature Shad Darc then moves towards the left part of it legs and grab it using it as a foot hold he was barely hanging on.
The bearlike creature tries to shake him of from its leg but Shad Darc keeps clinging to him like a tick refusing to let go.
Using that momentum Shad Darc threw himself at the back of the creature holding tightly onto the fur of its neck.
Using this chance he reached out toward the upper horn of its head with his right hand and then reached towards the short dagger in the creature left eye with his left hand and grab it.
The bearlike creature let out a painful cry and began to move wildly trying to shake of Shad Darc who is bringing pain to it.
But Shad Darc held on firmly to it, the more it moves wildly the more pain it feels thanks to the dagger stock in its eye.
Shad Darc then push the dagger even deeper which sent it thrashing out and screaming in pain. Shad Darc didn't feel any sense of joy, confidence or hatred towards the creature in fact there is not even an ounce of killing intent towards it is more like a machine doing what it is supposed to do.
Shad Darc at this point has entered the zone a place where he begins to unleash fighting capabilities beyond even a seasoned fighter a state where he acts emotionlessly without thought or regret for his action he becomes an empty machine who only knows how to fight.
The bearlike creature manages to shake Shad Darc off its back but Shad Darc stubbornly refused to let go of it he held onto the dagger like magnet attracted to another magnet.
Holding the dagger with his left hand while his lower body drags down the ground Shad Darc begins to channel his left over energy into the dagger and by using it as a medium he begins to also control the surrounding energy around the dagger so that he can caused more damage to the bearlike creature.
The bearlike creature now finds itself in a world of pain as the table has suddenly shift sides but even it, did not not give up as it continues to try it best to throw off the annoying prey causing it such harm.
It finally succeeded on throwing off Shad Darc completely of its body but that came with its own price. The price of greater pain for freedom.
The instance Shad Darc notice he couldn't keep holding on any longer and was about to throw off by the bearlike creature he decided to increase the amount of flow of energy into his short dagger which in turn left him almost completely dry.
By raising the amount of energy into the dagger he simultaneously amplified the attraction both his own flow of energy and the outside flow of energy which temporarily amplified the his power and with that power he forcefully pull out the short dagger while dealing more damage to the creature eyes living a deep cut down its left eye.
Though it gain freedom but it was left with more pain, never will it have thought that such weak looking thing could cause him this amount of pain.
But the truth is always more than expected or thoughts and it has come to know that even weak things can fight and caused it pain.
But it is too late to go back now it most see this to the end it most kill this annoying little thing.
It lounges once more roaring towards Shad Darc this time instead of use it hands it decided to use it head as the weapon considering it has two rhino's horn one at the top with the upper one being shorter than the lower one.
But this time around Shad Darc was also ready for it he dive towards the approaching creature though not as fast before but with more fluidity and precision than before.
He immediately move to the right said of the creature narrowly avoided it deadly horns and launches his short dagger at the upper side of it right front limbs connecting to his shoulder.
It was a sudden and an unexpected attack so it wasn't expecting such thing to happen toit, it loses balance in its right hand and stumbled Shad Darc didn't let the opportunity to go waste and immediately follow up with another attack to its right eye completely making blind.
The bearlike creature screamed and roar in pain but it is of no use, then pulling the short dagger out he lounges it deeply into the right side of it neck with full force while putting all the remaining energy he has into the dagger plus the leftover in the dagger it was nothing short but diverstating.
Due to the force and intensity of the final blow it actually burst open the bearlike creature neck open with his dagger giving up and crumbling to dust.
It was an intense battle but there is only one victor and survivor which is Shad Darc though battered and bleeding his bones broken in different places he still manage to be the last one standing it wasn't easy but he did it.
The bearlike creature completely fell off it last life living it with this assurance Shad Darc completely slum down to the ground completely out of energy and strength.
He fell with his face flat to the ground as if once step away from death suddenly saw as if there is faint dark light inside of the creature shining from within he doesn't know why he was seeing such things but he is sure of what he is seeing.
Shad Darc instinctively reached his left hand to it only to feel strange resonance and instanly passed out.
