Chapter 513 - Chapter 8: Negotiations

Before Lynch arrived in Feiyan City, the rule and order here belonged to the traditional medieval order, where ordinary people pledged allegiance to the Lords, the Lords pledged allegiance to the King, and the entire kingdom listened to the Wizards hidden behind the scenes.

This traditional order was actually akin to a governance idea similar to Huang-Lao thought, where Wizards holding high positions wouldn't do anything for the development of the ecological civilization, leaving these civilizations to develop on their own. Wizards would only step in at appropriate times to shear some wool and reap the benefits.

The advantage was minimal interference with the world, which was relatively hassle-free; after all, they didn't need to do anything, just wait for the fruit to mature on its own before picking it up.

The majority of the Wizard World developed under this model, simply dividing society into rent-collecting classes and the enslaved classes.
