The woman covered the half of her face that had just been slapped with one hand, pointing at the man's nose with the other, eyes filled with disbelief, "What do you take me for? Do you think I'm here to sell myself?"
"Aren't you?"
"Like hell I am!" The woman couldn't believe someone would think of her like that, and on top of being slapped in public, her dignity was being insulted. She had never suffered such a loss growing up, and she couldn't tolerate it. Immediately, she reached out, her sharp nails aiming for his face.
"Sell! I think you're the one out selling, your whole family is! What made you think I was selling myself? And you dare hit me? My dad never laid a hand on me, who do you think you are?! Is it my fault I'm pretty? Is it my fault I dress nicely? What era did you crawl out from, daring to slander me like this? I don't think you want to stick around here!"
The woman continued to scratch at his exposed skin while loudly speaking.
