Chapter 163 - CHAPTER 162

CHAPTER 162 : Pokémon! Challenge Misty (Third More)

"Avoided?"

The staff was stunned. Pikachu's movements were incredibly nimble, evading Goldeen's attacks with ease.

"It seems I underestimated you. Your Pikachu is quite strong, but don't think this will be easy!"

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt to end this battle."

Qin Yun had already assessed Goldeen's power—it was no match for Pikachu. Rather than prolonging the fight, he chose to end it swiftly and move on.

"Pikachu!!"

Pikachu nimbly leaped to the side, found the perfect position, and unleashed a powerful 100,000 Volt (Thunderbolt).

The terrifying electric current surged toward Goldeen. The poor Water-type Pokémon had no chance and was instantly knocked out.

"Goldeen!!"

Seeing their Pokémon defeated, the staff member immediately rushed forward and cradled Goldeen with concern.

"I lost… Your strength is impressive, but our Gym Leader, Misty, is much stronger than me. If you want to defeat her, you'll need more training."

[Defeated Gym Staff! Pikachu gained 200 EXP and 100 Potential Points.]

[Host gains 200 EXP and 100 Potential Points.]

Qin Yun noticed that both he and Pikachu were receiving experience rewards.

"A double reward?" Qin Yun smirked, pleasantly surprised.

"Pika-Pika!"

Pikachu cheered, pleased with its victory. After all, this was its first real battle, and winning so decisively was a great confidence boost.

"I'll be your next opponent!"

Another staff member stepped forward eagerly, followed by others who wanted a match.

Qin Yun observed them carefully. Their behavior reminded him of NPCs from a game—they kept challenging him despite the obvious power difference.

"That girl in the front…"

Qin Yun narrowed his eyes. Something felt off about this world. It was too realistic to be just a game.

But he pushed those thoughts aside. With his current abilities, it was pointless to overthink things.

"Alright, come at me one by one!"

Since these staff members acted like NPCs, Qin Yun wasn't about to be polite. Every battle was an opportunity to farm experience and potential points.

Instead of relying solely on Pikachu, he rotated between his six Pokémon, efficiently taking down each challenger.

By the time the last staff member was defeated, Qin Yun had amassed a total of 5,200 EXP and 2,600 Potential Points.

"The EXP gain is insane. If I pour all of this into Pikachu, it'll be close to Level 9."

At this rate, reaching Level 10, the peak of the Entry Rank, would only take a few hours.

Of course, Pikachu was still Level 7, not even Level 8 yet.

Qin Yun held off on assigning all the EXP for now. Instead, he focused on something else—

Pikachu had mastered all ten ninjutsu skills he had been taught and had successfully copied the move Tackle using his Sharingan.

With all the staff defeated, Qin Yun turned his attention to the Cerulean Sisters.

These three were the sub-bosses of this Gym.

"Little handsome guy, you're pretty strong," Lily, the youngest sister, remarked. She wore a stylish swimsuit and smiled playfully.

"Miss Lily, your performance earlier was quite impressive as well."

Lily's smile brightened. "A handsome young man who knows how to talk! I bet you have plenty of girlfriends, huh?"

Qin Yun coughed awkwardly. This NPC's dialogue felt oddly advanced… Could it be VR intelligence?

"I'd like to challenge you," Qin Yun said, regaining his composure.

"No need to ask. If you want to face Misty, you have to defeat us first!"

The three sisters spoke in unison.

"Then let's battle!"

Qin Yun initially approached the fight cautiously, worried the three sisters might be strong.

But he was wrong.

Their strength was completely outclassed by their appearances.

While stronger than the Gym staff, they still weren't much of a challenge for Pikachu.

In the end, Pikachu defeated all three sisters.

Because they were sub-bosses, their rewards were greater—each provided 2,000 EXP and 1,000 Potential Points.

Total Gains: 6,000 EXP and 3,000 Potential.

Qin Yun was very satisfied.

Pikachu's level increased to Level 8, and he was only a small amount away from Level 9.

"Let's allocate a little more EXP to Pikachu."

Seeing that Pikachu was just shy of leveling up, Qin Yun assigned some of the gained EXP, boosting Pikachu closer to Level 9.

With this world seemingly merging with reality, strengthening Pikachu and Larvitar was a top priority.

Especially Pikachu—

The real-world Pikachu was still a newborn. If it could reach Elite Rank before returning, it would make a huge difference.

"Lurantis is also close to leveling up. If I get a bit more EXP here, it might evolve."

Qin Yun muttered to himself before refocusing on the three sisters.

"Little handsome guy, you're really strong. We're no match for you."

"But if you want the Cerulean Gym Badge, you still have to defeat our little sister. She's the strongest of us all."

"…Your little sister?" Qin Yun asked curiously. Was Misty not here?

"Our little sister, she—"

"I'm here!"

A familiar voice called from the entrance.

Qin Yun turned and saw a young, athletic girl stepping forward.

At a glance, he recognized her immediately—

The Cerulean Gym Leader, Misty.

Qin Yun's heart pounded with excitement. So she really exists in this world!

In the Dragon Kingdom Alliance, Misty wasn't just a Gym Leader—she was a prodigy.

A powerful Elite Trainer.

"You must be the challenger," Misty said, studying him. "If you defeated my sisters, you're quite strong."

She smiled confidently. "But if you want my Badge, it won't be easy."

Qin Yun smirked. "Then let's battle."

"I like your attitude," Misty said. "We'll battle 6 vs 6. The first to knock out all of their opponent's Pokémon wins. Got it?"

A 6-on-6 battle!

Qin Yun wasn't intimidated—he was excited.

More Pokémon meant more rewards.

"Understood!"

His eyes glowed with anticipation.

If he defeated Misty, Pikachu might reach Level 10—the peak of Entry Rank.

Maybe even advance to Elite Rank.

"Eldest sister, be the referee. The battle will take place in the Water Arena."

Misty pointed to the battlefield designed for Water Pokémon.

"Come out, Corsola!"

Misty's choice was a Water/Rock-type Pokémon.

[Pokémon: Corsola]

[Type: Water/Rock]

[Ability: Regenerator (Restores HP when switching out.)]

[Level: 11 (Elite Beginner)]

[Moves: Stealth Rock, Scald, Toxic, Recover, Tackle, Bubble Beam]

"A Level 11 Corsola, huh?" Qin Yun mused.

A Stealth Rock user.

If not handled properly, it could become a real problem.

"Pikachu, let's go!"

As the battle began, Pikachu's Sharingan spun, trying to copy Corsola's moves…
