Gu Sheng pulled the lever again, and this time the arrow directly blasted Lu Shu's head to pieces.
"Hah! Finally done."
Exhausted, Gu Sheng plopped down on the ground, pulled out a pill to restore his energy, and tossed it into his mouth.
At this moment, Gu Sheng was nearly at his limit.
Gu Sheng had underestimated Lu Shu's methods. Without the inherent suppression of Jian Gang over sword momentum, Gu Sheng reckoned his own techniques would have been no match for Lu Shu.
Once sword momentum was suppressed, most of Lu Shu's moves no longer posed much threat to Gu Sheng. Even so, if Gu Sheng hadn't used the Demon Suppression Golden Scroll at the last moment, things could've gone terribly wrong.
