Chapter 580 - Chapter 445: The Fall of Rome, The Rise of Nix_4

This is a Roman Colony, also a populous town thriving in trade due to its convenient transportation connections with the Northern Italy Province.

During the time when the Nix Army was stationed in Northern Italy, the Romans dispatched numerous soldiers to this city and fortified its defenses, hoping to hold the city and deter the Nix people from recklessly advancing into the core region of Rome.

The strategy Maximus employed was: lay siege to Florence but not attack it, and divide the forces to attack the other towns south of it.

Previously, the Nix Army occupied the Northern Italy Province, expelling all the residents. Some went to Rome, while others remained in various towns in Etruria, as it was closer to their homeland.

Maximus dispatched a sizable team of spies (mostly recruited by Onomabatis over the years within Roman territory, who spoke Latin and were unassuming in appearance) to blend in with the refugees and settle in various towns within the Etruria region.
