Her eyes snapped open, and her body sprang into a fighting stance. She scanned her surroundings, and seeing no enemies, she finally relaxed a little.
She found herself in a strange room. Frowning, her memories gradually returned.
A sharp glint in her dark red eyes, that Kusanagi Sora had taken advantage of her distraction to sneak attack her. The thought filled her with a quiet anger. But he had knocked her out and then done nothing to her. Her body was unharmed, and her clothes were untouched. This filled her with a sense of confusion and disbelief.
Hearing voices outside the room, she transformed her hair into several blades, ready for battle, and then opened the door.
Hearing the door open, Sora and Lala, who were watching TV, turned their heads.
"Yami-chan, you're awake?" Lala said with a bright smile, waving at her before turning back to her show.
"As expected of Golden Darkness. You've recovered so quickly," he said, handing his little pet to Lala and standing up.
"No need to be so tense. I have no intention of continuing our fight. Come here," he said with an amused laugh, seeing her guarded expression.
After a moment's hesitation, she decided not to attack. This man was too strong. She knew that even if he hadn't used a sneak attack, he could have easily taken her down. She was no match for him.
Though she still didn't understand what he wanted, for now, she could only take it one step at a time. Her blades reverted to hair, and she walked over.
Seeing her reaction, a smirk formed on his lips. He walked over to the dining table and pulled out a chair.
"Sit here for a while," he said, and then, without another word, he went into the kitchen. Soon, the sound of cooking could be heard.
Staring blankly at him in the kitchen and at Lala on the sofa, holding a silver-haired loli and watching TV, she felt that something was not right.
They were still enemies, right? Why did they show no signs of being on guard, just ignoring her like this?
She didn't understand. She couldn't figure out what they were trying to do.
"This might be a good chance to escape…"
The thought crossed her mind, but she quickly dismissed it.
In the face of absolute power, everything was futile. She was certain that if he didn't want to let her go, she could never escape. In that case, why bother doing something so meaningless?
Sitting on the chair and waiting quietly, she had already made her decision. If he really tried to do something to her, she would just take them all down with her.
Though she had only ever passively activated that state once before, if she was in real danger, she was sure she could do it again…
As she was lost in thought, he came out of the kitchen with several dishes and placed them on the table.
"Eat," he said, placing a bowl of rice in front of her.
The alluring scent of the food filled the air, but she remained unmoved. Though she was indeed a little hungry, as an assassin, she wasn't foolish enough to eat food given by an enemy.
She looked at him coldly, a sarcastic smirk on her lips.
"What, you think it's poisoned?"
Smiling at the unmoving girl, he picked up his chopsticks and started eating himself, as if to show that he hadn't added anything to the food. But she still didn't move.
"Still not eating? You won't have the strength to escape from me if you don't eat."
"Besides, with your constitution and abilities, even if it were poisoned, it wouldn't affect you, right?" he said with a light laugh, putting down his chopsticks, a playful look in his eyes.
Frowning, though she couldn't figure out what he was thinking, she had to admit he had a point.
Even if the food were poisoned, her body could break it down. And if she didn't eat, she wouldn't be able to fight at full strength.
She said nothing more and picked up her chopsticks, taking a bite of the food.
Her eyes lit up, and a look of disbelief appeared on her face. This delicious food… was it really made by this human?
Seeing her shocked and disbelieving expression, he had a smug smile on his face.
"Sora, Sora, I want to eat too!"
Smelling the food, Lala ran over with Rhea.
"Didn't you just eat a lot of Mikan-chan's cooking?" he asked, exasperated, looking at the little glutton.
"I'm hungry again," she whined, hugging his shoulder and shaking him. She placed Rhea on his lap and then bounced into the kitchen to get a bowl and chopsticks.
Half an hour later…
"Mmm… I'm so full," Lala said, patting her full stomach, her face full of bliss and satisfaction.
The loli Valkyrie on his lap had a disdainful expression, but her equally full little stomach betrayed her satisfied heart.
Putting down her chopsticks, Golden Darkness wiped her mouth. A rare look of sadness and nostalgia appeared on her cute and cold face.
At a time like this, she had actually thought of that woman she had almost forgotten…
"Kusanagi Sora, what are you going to do with me?!" she asked coldly, standing up after regaining her composure.
"Heh… so you finally couldn't hold it in anymore, Golden Darkness," he said with a smile, seeing her finally speak.
He handed his little pet to Lala and stood up, walking up to her and lifting her chin.
"Since you want to know, I'll tell you."
"Though you are the number one assassin in the universe, your mission has failed. And from the moment you lost to me, your life and everything about you belong to me!"
"From now on, I am your client, your master, and the one who controls everything about you! If you don't like it, then get stronger, and then defeat me to regain your freedom!"
A devilish smile, a domineering voice. Staring at him, she came back to her senses, and a fierce, overwhelming killing intent erupted from her.
"Acknowledge your weakness. You can't kill me as you are now, Golden Darkness!"
His devilish smile instantly turned endlessly cold, and a powerful aura erupted from him. She felt her body and soul sink, as if she had been thrown into an ice cellar.
She felt herself shrinking smaller and smaller, while he seemed to be growing larger and larger. An instinctual fear gripped her heart. In that moment, she truly understood just how vast the gap between them was.
"From now on, you are my personal little maid. As long as you're obedient, your master will naturally dote on you. Hahahaha…"
His mood changed faster than flipping a book. One moment a storm, the next a sunny day. His aura dissipated, and he laughed heartily.
"You'll wear this at home from now on. As a little maid, all the chores like sweeping and washing dishes are yours. I'll train you slowly."
"Lala and I are going to take a bath now. You can clean up the table and dishes."
With a wave of his hand, a cute maid dress appeared in his hand. He stuffed it into her hands and then prepared to take a bath with Lala and the others.
"Kusanagi Sora…"
Before he could enter the bathroom, her low voice came from behind him.
"Is there something else, my cute little maid?" he asked, turning his head with a smile.
"One day, I will kill you," she said coldly, her head held high, clutching the maid dress.
"Hahaha… then I'll be waiting for that day!"
With a hearty laugh, he entered the bathroom, holding his little pet in one arm and Lala's waist with the other.
Gritting her teeth, her expression dark, her arm transformed into a blade, and she was tempted to destroy the maid dress. But in the end, she lowered her hand.
Though she was unwilling, he was right. She was just a loser now…
Wrapped in an apron, when Sora and Lala came out of the bathroom, they saw her sweeping the floor with a broom and dustpan. Her movements were not as agile as in battle, but rather a little clumsy.
She had changed into the maid dress he had given her. Though she didn't have her usual cool vibe, she looked stunning, even cuter.
"Yare, yare. Is this all the great Golden Darkness can do? You even broke a plate," he said, looking at the broken pieces on the floor, his tone sarcastic and teasing.
"Don't be discouraged, Yami-chan! I used to break plates a lot when I first started too," Lala, on the other hand, was being a good person, encouraging and comforting her.
A faint blush on her cheeks, Golden Darkness turned her head and glared at them. But when she saw they were only wearing towels, she quickly turned her head away in a fit of shyness and anger.
"As a little maid in the house, if you can't do your chores well, you don't get to eat. That room over there is yours from now on. Tidy it up and then go to bed."
"Of course, you can try to escape. If you think you can," he said with a wicked expression. He gave her a couple of instructions and then went to his room with his little pet and Lala.
"Kusanagi Sora!"
Gritting her teeth, the number one assassin in the universe, who struck fear into the hearts of countless people, had become a little maid who swept the floor. She felt a sense of tragedy and shame for herself.
Over and over again, she fantasized about cutting that detestable guy into pieces. She continued to clumsily clean the house…
"Lord Sora, what type would you like tonight?"
Back in the room, Peke's voice came from Lala's hair accessory.
"Mmm, let's go with the maid outfit," he said, placing his little pet on the side of the bed and rubbing his chin.
"Yes, Lord Sora," it replied. A flash of light, and Lala was in a cute maid outfit.
With a wicked smile, he said no more, simply walking over, picking her up, and throwing her onto the bed…
