Chapter 366 - Just proximity

The water in the tub was just lukewarm, rippling lightly as her fingers breached its surface. 

Well, the little of it that Arabella managed to distinguish among the layer of soap bubbles that covered it whole.

"Is it too warm or too cold perhaps?" Silas's voice came from behind her, but it did not come alone.

No, indeed, it brought the rustling of fabric along as he undressed which rendered Arabella utterly rigid in her stance. 

"It's just perfect," she squeaked.

When all was said and done, the quiet returned… Deafening, ensuring her heart was heard from miles away.

"Now, where did all of that confidence go again?" 

"I am afraid I have no control over it," she chuckled awkwardly, internally begging her cheeks to cool down.

No more words were exchanged between them. None were needed for his warmth spoke louder and better than any could ever communicate his intentions. 

Against her back it collided before wrapping her being, indicating just how close he stood behind her.
