"Damn it! You're really going to die with me, you madman!"
The voice of the Holy Ancestor of the Demon Heaven Civilization was filled with fear and despair. Ye Wen's attack had fully latched onto its true essence, tracing back through the causal laws to systematically erase every trace of its existence in this universe.
"I refuse to accept this!" In its final moments, the Holy Ancestor let out a defiant scream.
As the Holy Ancestor of the Demon Heaven Civilization perished completely, all the converted Demon Heaven beings ceased their actions, gradually dissipating like smoke. Before vanishing, many of them seemed to regain their original selves—some filled with regret, others with relief, and still others with acceptance.
Thus, the cosmic tumor that was the Demon Heaven Civilization vanished entirely from existence.
But at what cost?
The greatest contributor to this battle, Ye Wen, now quietly awaited his own death.
Still, this ultimate divine skill of his wasn't as mercilessly absolute as it had been when used on the Holy Ancestor. The Eternal Void Apotheosis Annihilation slowly consumed Ye Wen, Yue Na, and Na'er like a candle flame melting away wax.
In these final moments of life, Ye Wen felt no regret. After living for so long, he had already found contentment.
Throughout this vast expanse of time, he had gained a wife, children, resurrected his grandfather, and elevated the entire Douluo Civilization to an unprecedented new era.
If there was one regret...
"I'm sorry, Yue Na and Na'er. If I had found a way to destroy the Holy Ancestor of the Demon Heaven Civilization sooner, I wouldn't have had to sacrifice you both." Ye Wen spoke with deep remorse.
Yue Na and Na'er, of course, held no blame toward Ye Wen.
At this moment, Yue Na's delicate hand gently caressed Ye Wen's cheek, her eyes brimming with love as she said:
"Foolish husband, we didn't do this for anything else—it was for our family.
If given the chance to choose again, I would still make the same decision.
We have never regretted becoming your partners."
With those words, Yue Na's hand fell limply to her side. The battle against the Holy Ancestor's soul had drained every ounce of strength from both Yue Na and Na'er.
Now, Yue Na and Na'er quietly awaited death.
After all, Ye Wen's ultimate causal attack would annihilate everything about those it struck, leaving nothing behind.
And Ye Wen was no exception.
However, because Ye Wen had dispersed countless avatars across parallel timelines, even if his main body perished, as long as his avatars returned in the future, they could potentially reconstitute him into a Supreme God King once more. Though Ye Wen himself didn't know if that reconstructed being would still truly be "him."
But Ye Wen was tired, too tired to care anymore.
In this moment, Ye Wen calmly savored the final chapter of his life.
Reflecting on everything, he felt no regrets.
As the final battlefield settled, the gods of Douluo Star who had been anxiously awaiting news of their supreme leader began to gather, eager to see him one last time.
The first to arrive was Snow Empress.
Snow Empress herself had ascended to the level of a Supreme God King and had merged with the plane consciousness of Douluo Star, making her one of the most powerful beings under Ye Wen.
Seeing her approach, Ye Wen smiled with a sense of peace.
"Snow Empress, I didn't break my promise, did I?"
The usually composed Snow Empress now had tears welling up in her eyes. She clearly understood Ye Wen's current state and nodded slowly.
Recalling the past, the savior who had descended from higher dimensions and walked a path fraught with hardship—Snow Empress and the plane consciousness had witnessed it all. He had not only saved the future of Douluo Star but also elevated it to unimaginable heights.
The Douluo plane had saved Ye Wen's soul, but Ye Wen's repayment had been equally generous.
They were even now.
Yet, Ye Wen couldn't bear to part with his family, which was why he had remained tethered to Douluo Star for so long.
As more and more God Kings began to gather, Ye Wen gazed upon their familiar faces, his eyes heavy with the weight of time.
"Ah Yin, Dong, Cici, Qianqian, Xue Xue, Xue'er, Tianxin, Tianchen, Tianshui, Tianhun..."
One by one, Ye Wen called out the names of his loved ones, finally saying with a sense of relief:
"You're all safe. That's good."
His words brought his family to tears, their sobs uncontrollable.
Ye Wen had never been a man of indulgence, and the fact that he had so many family members was due to various karmic encounters. Even so, he had treated each of them with sincerity, without favoritism or neglect.
Then Ye Wen turned his gaze to his disciples who had arrived.
"You're all safe too. That's good."
Even Huo Rui, who had endured countless hardships before becoming his disciple and had never shed a tear, now cried for the first time in years.
She knew they were about to lose the kindest and most protective master they had ever known.
Though Ye Wen had countless words left to say, his body had already been half-obliterated by the annihilation law.
Ye Wen's time was running out.
After serving as the Supreme God of the Douluo Civilization for so long, Ye Wen knew that if he didn't properly transfer his authority now, the vast Douluo Civilization might fall into endless strife.
And his family would inevitably be dragged into it—a fate Ye Wen wished to avoid at all costs.
Surveying the gathered crowd, Ye Wen finally fixed his gaze on Snow Empress.
"Everyone, in the name of the Supreme God King of Douluo Star, I hereby declare that the Reincarnation God King will temporarily take over as my successor. Other matters will be decided once my avatars from parallel timelines return."
Snow Empress was already a Supreme God King, supported by the plane consciousness of Douluo Star and respected as Ye Wen's wife. With her at the helm, Douluo Star would likely remain stable.
In these final moments, Ye Wen wanted to bid a proper farewell to A'yin and the others.
But just as Ah Yin and the others, tears streaming down their faces, prepared to hear Ye Wen's final words, an overwhelmingly terrifying divine pressure suddenly swept in from nearby!
This divine energy was both familiar and strange.
If Ye Wen had been in his normal state, he would have instantly recognized it. But as his body continued to disintegrate, his mind grew hazy.
"Who could it be...?"
With that thought, Ye Wen finally overestimated his condition and succumbed to darkness.
By the time the others reacted, the remnants of Ye Wen and Yue Na had already been taken by the newcomer.
A cold, clear voice echoed through the cosmos:
"Am I… too late after all, Master?"
But Ah Yin and the others didn't care about any of that. How dare someone snatch their husband right in front of them—it was an outright insult!
Before they could protest, even Snow Empress, the strongest among them, was instantly restrained in place.
Faced with such overwhelming power, everyone present was stunned.
"If you can't protect Master, then I'll take over.
Don't worry—I'll bring him back whole. When that time comes, we'll be sisters."
As the cold voice faded, the mysterious figure vanished instantly from sight, leaving the crowd behind.
