Chapter 284 - Lessons Learned

"This guy seems to have the ability to alter his body's density," Spider-Man shouted, his voice echoing through the wrecked control room. "That's how he slipped right out of my webs earlier."

Venom's enormous white eyes cut toward Spidey, narrowing. The look screamed, And you're telling me this only now?

Vision's cold, mechanical gaze scanned the two heroes. His internal systems were already running calculations, updating his database with the fresh combat data gathered in seconds.

Their last moves, their tells, their likely counters—all predicted with machine precision.

Scarlet cloak flaring, Vision surged into the air. His yellow-toned synthetic body streaked toward them like a missile.

Spider-Man's pupils constricted. He wanted to dodge, but the android was far too fast. In a blur, a hand like a steel vise clamped around his throat, choking off his breath.

Spider-Man clawed at Vision's arm, legs kicking wildly. Venom roared at the sight, his black arm morphing into a massive sledgehammer. At the same time, Spidey twisted, using both legs to sweep at Vision's lower half.

The dual assault worked—Vision staggered a step, his icy forehead gem blasting off its mark. The blue beam sizzled just above Spider-Man's head, punching through the ceiling and carving a molten hole in the steel.

Venom's voice ripped through the chaos with a guttural growl as he charged. His arms whipped into thick black tendrils, snapping through the air like giant whips aimed squarely at Vision.

Vision calmly phased, letting the tendrils pass through him—

But Venom wasn't done. The symbiote's alien tissue recoiled mid-phase, snapping back and slamming brutally into Vision's back, sending him staggering forward.

"Ha! Didn't see that coming, tin-can brain!" Venom sneered. "I'm gonna rip that shiny head of yours clean off."

Spider-Man seized the opening. Twin webs shot from his wrists, splattering across Vision's face and covering his eyes. Blinded, Vision suddenly became the target of a merciless two-on-one assault.

Both heroes knew better than to waste time against something this inhuman. Every second mattered.

Red and black fists, powered by raw adrenaline and alien strength, hammered into Vision's chest with everything they had.

Vision didn't phase this time. Instead, he met their punches head-on. His own fists collided with theirs in a thunderous impact.

Neither Spidey nor Venom could withstand the machine's unnatural strength. The force ripped through their arms and hurled them across the room like ragdolls.

He hadn't needed to dodge. To Vision, eliminating two "moderate-threat" targets was trivial.

But just as he prepared to finish them—

The third player entered.

Daisy Johnson, clad in her sleek black combat suit, stormed into the room. Waves of invisible seismic force rippled out from her, crashing over the walls like an unseen ocean.

At the center of it, Vision's body was hurled backward, smashing through the wall and landing in the corridor beyond.

He staggered to his feet, synthetic features bruised and dented, frost gem flickering. His sensors locked onto Daisy, energy swirling around her like a storm tide. The database instantly cross-referenced her image:

Codename: Quake.

Abilities: Seismic energy projection, high-frequency shockwaves.

Threat Level: High.

Calculated Victory Probability: 71.3%. Task priority recalibrating…

But the recalibration never finished.

Because a surge of red power tore into him like a flood.

Vision's body flew again, slamming into the ground with enough force to fracture his synthetic frame. Sparks danced across torn plating, exposing mechanical "bones" beneath his humanoid form.

This Vision was no MCU vibranium miracle. Ultron had built him strong—but not unbreakable.

The crimson torrent ebbed, and from its heart emerged a woman. Scarlet energy curled around her like a crown. Her long hair flowed as though gravity itself bowed before her.

She was no soldier. She was a queen.

The database screamed updates:

Codename: Scarlet Witch.

Abilities: Probable telekinesis, psionic assault.

Threat Level: Extreme.

Victory Probability: 21.3%. Reassigning mission…

Vision dropped to one knee, staring at Wanda Maximoff. His forehead gem blazed, firing a lance of frost-blue energy straight at her.

She flicked her wrist. Chaos magic bloomed, red countering blue in midair before snuffing it out completely.

Her right hand swept forward, releasing another tide of scarlet chaos. The wave struck like a hammer, pinning Vision against the wall with bone-crushing force.

His database shifted again, panic finally bleeding into the mechanical precision:

Codename: Scarlet Witch.

Abilities: Confirmed telekinesis, psychic dominance.

Threat Level: Critical.

Victory Probability: 1.3%. Mission failed. Immediate retreat.

Vision's body shimmered, density shifting, form turning translucent. He began sinking through the wall, vanishing into its structure.

Wanda's scarlet gaze hardened. She clenched her fist. Chaos energy unfurled into the shape of a colossal hand, plunging into the wall after him.

Vision might have been the strongest A.I.—but against a queen of chaos, even machines knew fear.
