Chapter 12 - Faking her death

"you know we can decide to change our partners right?" Raine suggested as she readied her self to fight

"I know very much about that Raine but who would turn down the opportunity to fight the son of Rowan Vale" Sienna replied throwing a punch with all the strength she could gather.

She wasn't fast enough to dodge the Punch and it landed right at her eyes.

"That was painful sienna! I can't afford to go blind"

Sienna let out a laugh, shaking the sting from her knuckles. "Then you better learn to duck, little prince. I didn't even go full force."

Raine narrowed her eyes, rubbing at the corner of her swelling eye. "Fine. Remember you asked for this.."

"Yes I did." Sienna smirked. "Look. There's no need to get too worked up because of this. We will eventually fight each other one day"

Raine hesitated, her body tense, but she still moved into a defensive stance. " you can think whatever you want girl, but I won't fight a loser"

"Seriously? I thought this wasn't because of your ego. Are you that proud or you are just racist. because I'm black?" Sienna grinned, circling her slowly.

They moved around each other, the silence thickening between jabs and dodges.

"Thinking like that is only called insecurity. Me not fighting you has nothing to do with your skin colour " Raine challenged, throwing a swift kick toward Sienna's side.

Sienna caught it mid-air, holding it just long enough to show off. "Really, then get ready because I will beat you to coma" she shoved her leg away.

Without hesitation, she pounced on her hitting her across the face until she wasn't moving.

Shit!

"Are you dead already? How the hell did a poor little thing like you pass the entrance exam. Ohh you cheated. I get it"

Sienna shook her body repeatedly but Raine wouldn't get up. This was the only way she would live

"Hey!! My partner I think I took him down already. He's not moving and not breathing either"

The instructor's voice boomed across the training field, and within seconds, he rushed over, pushing Sienna back.

"Step away from him! I didn't mean you can actually kill him. What do you think this place is? "

"I too didn't mean to kill him!" Sienna stuttered, but it was too late. A medic was already checking Raine's pulse. Her body lay motionless, her skin pale, the blood from her nose mixing with the dirt. It was completely believable that she was dead.

"He's not breathing," the medic finally confirmed, "or barely breathing. I can feel some pulse but his heart isn't beating. It's weird. "
