Ingrid Dolph, a lowly she-wolf happens to be in her ripe age of locating her mate. And it was during this time that the rumor about a dragon egg spread like wildfire and everyone was asked to hunt for it. Whoever finds it will have a greater share and unbelievable privileges.
Excited for the hunt, Ingrid takes part in it with the motive of finding it and bargaining for its blood and scale.

As I got close, I came to realize that it was a full grown naked man.
What?
A man? How was the dragon a man?
Suddenly I growled and groaned as my body grew hot by just the sight of it.
What was wrong with me?
Could it be that my wolf side was affected by the dragon because of the smell of its blood?
Disregarding the fact that he was naked, I approached him and my breathing became labored as my senses heightened to an intense level I never knew possible.
When I saw how he curled himself in a fetal position with his hand holding his bloody abdomen, my blood boiled and I punched the rock he was laying close to.
“Who would dare do such a thing to him!” I angrily said aloud and that was when his eyes opened causing my breath to get caught in my throat.
He was breathtaking!
His lashes were white as his eyebrows and they shimmered while his iris were gray in color.
“Ingrid,” he breathed out and my eyes widened at the fact that he knew my name.

My lashes twitched as my eyelids slowly opened and I stared into space as the haziness wore off and so did the invisible force surrounding me like an orb.


And the moment the force vanished, the silence turned into chaos due to the overwhelming noises out there in the world.


But with all the noise, my mind zeroed on one person and I smiled when I sensed how strong she was. Thanks to our connection, I could track her no matter how far she was.


"She's searching for me. How delightful," I said out loud and chuckled.


"Should I be selfish and wait for her to come to me?" I asked and gave it a thought.


It wouldn't hurt to be selfish, will it?


But even though I wanted to be selfish, I still wanted to be near her. I wanted to see her.


And with that in mind, I teleported myself back to the mansion and took a deep bath before changing into fresh clothes. After that, I stopped in the mirror and frowned at my appearance.
