"I changed history, Flare. We don't live for our mates anymore. We live for us."
Her words echoed in my mind like a chant as we stared into each other's eyes.
There was no love, no feelings, no hurt, no nothing, just detachment.
Who would've thought that letting her get her memories back would bring back others that I never knew of.
I couldn't believe this was happening. We were inseparable and she even killed for me.
"I thought you were the one for me, the one person I would spend eternity with but…. I was wrong," she further said and it shattered my heart.
I genuinely loved her not because of the idea of her or because of the effect the mate pull left. I loved her even to this point.
