Veyron now had the Cheat Engine for DC Universe.
So... in this Universe, what kind of insanely good stuff is basically impossible to get under normal circumstances?
That question immediately brought a very specific image to Veyron's mind—a bold, unmistakable "S" symbol.
Yep.
He was thinking of Superman.
More specifically, the perfect superpowered template that Superman represents—an all-in-one package of godlike abilities.
Solar Radiation Absorption. Super strength. Super speed. Super agility. Super reflexes. Super Vision. Super hearing. Super stamina. Super defense. Heat vision. Freeze breath. Bio-electric field...
The whole god-tier kit.
And honestly? When Veyron's [Photosynthesis (Orange)] trait evolved into [Photosynthesis (Gold)], he already used the properties of his "Soul Light" to simulate most of those abilities once.
But that only made him want more. Way more.
As everyone knows, 'Kryptonians are Kryptonians. Superman is Superman.'
Sure, it's a bit of a meme, but there's truth to it—they're not the same thing.
Kryptonians can absorb energy from a yellow sun and gain those well-known superpowers—strength, speed, the usual lineup.
But regular Kryptonians? Their growth curve under yellow sunlight is pretty tame, just as described in the lore. At best, when they first absorb stellar energy, their latent potential might give them a little power boost. That's it.
But Superman?
Yeah, good luck explaining him with 'just lore.'
For example, take Golden Superman, aka Superman Prime —the version of Superman from DC One Million that went viral thanks to how absurd he was in the comics.
He could manipulate time and space at will. He brought Lois Lane back to life and turned her into a fifth-dimensional being. He restored Krypton and every Kryptonian who died thousands of years ago in the planet's destruction...
And all of that?
He did it just by soaking in the sun's core for tens of thousands of years.
Did the sun even know it could make someone that powerful?
What really fascinated Veyron was this 'idealistic nature' of Superman—the fact that his powers weren't just physical, but almost conceptually 'willed' into being.
Veyron's [Photosynthesis] trait already had similar qualities when exposed to sunlight, thanks to his Soul Light.
Back when he spent three months chilling in the center of the sun in World-4, he absorbed and converted more energy every second than the total amount of energy the sun would theoretically emit from its birth to its eventual collapse into a white dwarf.
So if he could fuse that with Superman's conceptual-level power...
Yeah, the possibilities were nuts.
Excited by the potential gains, Veyron activated {Will of Creator}, making sure to layer on a little Soul light boost to increase the success rate.
One second later—
Veyron: "...Huh?"
He looked down, confused, at the {Will of Creator} still nearly untouched in his hand.
But it didn't fail.
It had already succeeded.
A new golden trait called [Superman (Gold)] popped up on his trait system screen—and then, without missing a beat, it started fusing with his existing [Photosynthesis (Gold)], flashing in sync until the two merged into one under his command.
The resulting trait still bore the same name: [Photosynthesis].
And the description? Just as simple as before: "Allows you to perform photosynthesis."
But Veyron could feel the difference.
Standing on Selina's apartment balcony, bathed in sunlight, he was now absorbing solar energy at a rate that made his previous self ashamed.
"Hmm…"
He tried applying the Superman template to Selina too, just to see if it would work. The system instantly shot back a message:
[Insufficient {Will of Creator}.]
Veyron raised an eyebrow.
So yeah—Superman's idealistic nature isn't something DC just hands out like candy. Makes sense.
Still, it got him thinking…Was it because he already had [Photosynthesis (Gold)], which was functionally pretty close to Superman's core ability in the first place?
Or maybe it was due to the idealistic power of his own Soul Light, which might've played a bigger role in the fusion process than he realized?
Or... was this like that one time he jokingly tried to use a 'Backwards spell' to tap into the source of magic, and somehow ended up summoning Lucifer?
He glanced up at the sky and sighed, deciding to shelve the curiosity for now.
Instead, he turned his thoughts to something else—legendary artifacts from the DC Universe that had surpassed the boundaries of a single universe.
Now, sure, DC didn't have the same runaway success in movies as Marvel, which went from Iron Man 1 to Avengers: Endgame like it was printing money.
But DC still stood tall as one of the twin giants of superhero comics, and it wasn't like their cinematic attempts had no hits. Plus, Superman and Batman were global icons—brands recognized almost everywhere.
So yeah, thanks to Reddit discussions like "Which is stronger, Marvel or DC?", "Ranking DC's most powerful heroes", "Plot armor in DC," or "Just how many versions of Superman are there in DC?", he'd picked up some decent background knowledge.
He knew the top-tier entity in DC was basically "Creator," with Lucifer ranking just under that, and that Golden Superman and other godlike variants were just plain broken.
Even if he hadn't read a ton of DC comics, those YouTube rabbit holes and articles like "Top 10 Overpowered DC Items" had helped him get a sense of things.
Like the Mother Boxes from the Justice League movie—devices that could manipulate matter and energy.
Or the Miracle Machine, which literally grants any wish you can think of.
Or the Mobius Chair, a seat that basically gives you omniscience just by sitting on it.
And… wait a second.
Why do all of these seem to have one thing in common?
Veyron pulled up some data via the system panel —and sure enough, all of those ultra-tier artifacts—the Mother Boxes, the Miracle Machine, the Mobius Chair—they all had one core component in common.
Something called… the Tenth Metal.
Also known as Element X.
(And no, not Chemical X from the Powerpuff Girls—keep that nostalgia shit to yourself.)
"Interesting!"
Curious, Veyron immediately dove into the info about Element X.
"Tenth Metal. Element X. The metal of pure creation used to fabricate anything through pure possibility. It can change form based on the user's will, be used to empower others, craft divine items like Mother Boxes and the Mobius Chair… or even create universes."
…Create universes?!
Even someone like Veyron—who'd seen a lot at this point—was genuinely caught off guard.
Not that creating a universe was out of reach for him nowadays.
After all, in the chat group's shared space, he had casually formed a universe over 9 billion light-years across, using just a single strand of "Ki" from his body, infused with his Soul Light's idealistic power.
But this Element X?
Known as the purest form of creation itself, it wasn't merely used to create a single universe—it shaped entire multiverses.
"…Alright then. It's decided."
With the system in hand and a full breakdown of Element X's capabilities in front of him, Veyron didn't hesitate.
After confirming that he had enough {Will of Creator} to exchange for a portion of Element X, he made the call on the spot.
Not long ago, he had drawn a "The 89 Saint Cloths Forging Manual" during a Gacha pull in an attempt to upgrade the chat group.
So... time to get to work.
