We rested at the Hot springs village for a day and set off immediately afterwards.
We didn't get to experience any miss haps along the way. It was smooth sailing even though there was battles going on in between the major villages but that was still not major wars.
We didn't hurry in our journey. It was more like discovering new things so we were not in hurry. The mission would likely take more time than it was intended.
At night while everyone was resting and sleeping. I and Shinsui Uzumaki were awake and were on the look out.
Suddenly the last person who was Akane Uzumaki suddenly fell to the ground and it immediately startled us.
I yelled and waked up others. As soon as the woke up they put up a defensive wall around Kushina who also woke up but didn't get to understand the situation.
I and Shinsui were already looking out for the enemy. Everything was deadly silent. We were waiting for the enemy.
Everyone started to drop one by one. I was really frightened because I have never encountered any strong enemy before.
Even if I encountered strong person before they were not my enemies. And this invisible enemy is dropping my friends before I even get to see him.
Almost everyone became unconscious except me and Shinsui. Shinsui was better than me as he was not panicking like but he was seeing something far more dreadful than I was seeing.
He was sweating from head to toe. Obviously we have encountered an enemy we can't handle.
It was then I realized in panicking and scaring that I obviously didn't use my abilities well.
It was tense moments. I acknowledged my weakness and tried to calm down.
I extended my sensory skills and chakra to gauge the enemy well. I extended my Kagura's Mind Eye to the fullest extent.
But it was not difficult to see the enemy. It was my negligence that brought me here in this situation.
The enemy was not far from us. His silhouette was quite something. He had dark clothes we couldn't see clearly.He was walking towards us slowly.
The night was dark and moon pale silver and it was hanging above us behind the scattered clouds.
The forest was deadly silent, too silent to be honest. The only sound you could hear was the rustling sound of collision between the wind and leaves.
That aside it was the walking sound of the enemy that was loudest of all. It was creepy like it was the reaper.
Shinsui was visibly shaken to the core. The mission is already a failure before we even see the enemy.
I started to notice the enemies clothes. It was a distinctive long, black cloaks with red cloud patterns and a red interior, along with a chin-high collar.
This made fall into reverie to the days back when I used to watch the series.
It was impossible to say you don't know the Iconic design of the clothes of the Akatsuki.
The most notorious group of villains.
It had one of the most notorious rebels in all of the elemental nations. And my favorite character in all of Naruto was among
them.
I relapsed from the memory and it hit me hard to the core. How is it possible for the Akatsuki to be in this era. Is it possible for the clothes to match then.
The clothes of the Akatsuki was designed by Konan. Is there even a person in this era who is this strong.
This person is clearly more oppresive. This person is clearly stronger than the Third Hokage of konoha.
In this era apart from Uchiha Madara who can be this strong. It can't be Uchiha Madara as he is cooped up in his cave cooking some unknown schemes.
I also calmed down myself. I looked the enemy with composure but I was still on guard against the enemy.
I was sure if we fought I wouldn't last a minute against him but I was also sure I could survive as I left kunai I marked with Flying Thunder God mark at every small and large town we came across in this mission.
The problem is can I survive with my friends with me. Or can the enemy kill my friends before I get the chance to save them. I was in a big dilemma.
I started intensely at the enemy trying to figure out who he is. As he got closer his silhouette was also fading and replaced by his figure.
I got chills on my back when I saw his eyes, to be precise one of his eyes.
It was light purple eye with circles on it. It was most mysterious and most powerful dojutsu of the whole series, The Rinnegan.
It was almost glowing in the dark adding to the silhouette it was absolutely terrifying. Shinsui was ready to fight immediately and became very tense when he the eyes.
The other eye was a normal one but that was not the focus. As he became more and more visible I saw who he was at last.
He had red hair and strong build that was not common the elemental nations except for the lightning Nation. Although the cloak left no room for exposure. But it was his tall build and robust built that you could know.
One thing I noted down was that the man in front of me was definitely an Uzumaki clan member but he is too strong to be
unknown.
Second thing he definitely has connections to the Akatsuki. He has the uniqueness of the Akatsuki. He definitely looks like a criminal or rebel ninja.
He became completely visible to the naked eye at last and he stopped moving forward.
Shinsui started preparing for attack.
But before he attacked the other party started speaking in a hoarse manner with words we could not understand their meaning
He said " The world is really small place that it can give me the chance to act unscripted, Don't you think so? " We couldn't understand him so we didn't know how to answer
Shinsui said " Who are you and what do you want from us. I can see you are strong but don't take us for nobodies, we can definitely make you lose than you can gain from us " meaning even if we are weaker than him we would not back down and bite back enough that he would regret targeting us. I nodded in agreement.
The figure said " I would not expect less from an Uzumaki like me but do you have the power to make me regret something " this made us depressed for a second but we became serious again.
